I will be shutting down aisubs.app on July 7, 2025.

The main reason is sustainability. Despite my efforts, the site has fewer than 4 paid Patreon supporters, generating only $17–25 per month. Meanwhile, the monthly running costs break down like this:

• Server fees: $5
• Bandwidth: $40
• GPU transcription: $20
• My time: 1–2 hours daily to keep things running smoothly

I’ve asked for support twice before, and only one person stepped up. Thanks to them, the site stayed alive for over a year. I don’t want to ask again.

What's Next?

The site will stay online for a few months after July 7, but no new uploads will be processed beyond that date.

I plan to publish a GitHub repository containing all the subtitles so the work won’t be lost.

• PayPal donations from that one Patreon: $803.67
• Total income: $1,970.22
• Total maintenance cost (excluding my time): $1,760

So yes, technically I’m in a small profit — but it's not sustainable. I can't keep this site going like this.

That one Patreon supporter is the only reason the site lasted as long as it did. I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
